"Blink" isn't so much about training oneself to hone one's split-second decision-making skills so much as it is an exploration of how the human brain and instinct work, and what exactly shapes such things (the idea that snap judgement is based more on a lifetime of experiences than an immediate situation's specifics did give me some tasty food for thought). It's definitely interesting, and the myriad examples Gladwell uses to both prove his point and offer real-life scenarios make for some fine mulling-over points. I read this with the expectation of both learning a bit about something I'd never been presented with before and being entertained, and "Blink" delivered more than satisfactorily on both fronts.]]>
