The story of Garth Turner's disastrous second run through the House of Commons, and the struggles he had as the blogging MP who was a thorn in the side of both the Conservative and Liberal parties.

Turner, a free-thinking former cabinet minister under the Campbell premiership, was dooced (fired for blogging) from the Conservative Party for his outspoken blogging and support for his principles and constituents over that of Stephen Harper and the cowed members of the party. He chronicles those days, from battling the religious right to dealing with the heavy-handed methods of Harper's PMO. Even after being booted from the Conservative caucus, Turner covers his time as an independent MP and later Liberal Party member who ran into issues with Stephane Dion over his blogging ways.

Garth Turner was Canada's first online member of parliament, and he predicts that within a decade, there will be many more. Sheeple (titled for the sheep-like behaviour of Conservative backbenchers and even cabinet members) is both his view of what happened during his term of office, and a warning on how blogging as a politician can lead to some very hot water.
