This fantasy was full of twists and turns. I really liked the story line and how the author keeps you wanting to know what could possibly happen next. I like the use of words and the interesting names of people, creatures, animals, plants and trees. I had to ask why the Banderbear? I was not expecting him to be killed. I do like how the author brings him back to Twig later in the story through another Banderbear. This is a great read for Junior/High school children.
