ok, so if you can get through the incessant fashion label name dropping in the first half of the book, you're rewarded with a pretty decent story. love the angle on vampirism in this one, but do we really need to know who made each and every article of clothing worn by these uber-wealthy vamps. the first half reads like a gossip girl book with a hint of some supernatural activity. fortunately, the narrative starts straying away from the fashion world as the real story takes place. i'll probably wind up reading the next one due to a cliff-hanger ending that leaves more questions than answers.
