While I realize there are so many books out there that there is no way I can have read, or can read every one, I cannot believe that I managed to get through a masters program in literature without ever reading Cather.

Her writing was quite engaging - I loved the way she infused the land with the people. To me, there are few authors that can make the two inseparable. I loved the way she wrote about the characters - and about those women who were transgressing the boxes they were "supposed" to live within.

Meghan She is on my how-have-i-not-read-her-yet list. I think I'm bumping her up to read this year since you seem to have excellent taste in books (as in I like the books you like).

Stacie Thanks! That is quite the compliment. :) I would highly recommend it. As I said in my review, I couldn't believe I hadn't read her either.
