In one word, this book was very informative. Thomas Friedman knows what he is talking about when it comes to the Green Revolution. The problem I had with this book was Friedman repeats his ideas page after page. For example, he describes a great idea he calls the Laws of Petropolitics, which basically means as the price of oil goes up, the pace of freedom goes down; and as the price of oil goes down, the pace of freedom goes up. Insightful. Yet he talks about this same point using drawn out points for pages upon pages after making his intial point.

The Energy Climate Era and Code Green are more great concepts Friedman has come up with. He basically argues that you can't have a new energy plan without having a new environmental plan.

Even if you consider yourself a green "newbie", this book would make a great starting point to learn about what is going on in our government, environment, and society and how we can make the Earth a better place for our kids and their kids.
