it was amazing

This book has it all! History, mystery, suspense, politics, revenge, tragedy, romance, devotion, adversity, violence, civil rights, humor, generational conflicts -- the list goes on and on. I loved it from the beginning straight through to the end.

I love how there are three narrators - three women: two black maids and one white woman. While one could say that the main gist of the book is about black maids and the white women who employ them in Jackson Mississippi in the early 1960's, there is much more to this story.
It's a very tasty slice of American pie!

I am looking forward to Kathryn Stockett's next novel.
