what a delightful book! such a simple story, but with so much insight. I usually have a hard time reading juvenile fiction because I find them to reveal too many details and often, the characters are not interesting to me. This book says a lot without revealing every detail for the reader to figure it out. The book made me think. I loved both, the quarks of Emma Jean and Colleen's struggle between being good and selfish. I finished the book feeling good about life and the uniqueness of everyone. I think tween girls especially, will identify and enjoy this wonderful story of discovering yourself and others.
