wow1 i was blown away by this book. was really in2 it &couldn't let go of it till the end. 2borrow from the review that's written on the book itself: "reads like an old-fashioned ghost story. but ther r no ghosts in this book-only human beings. wandering through the haunted realms of everyday life...a meditation on the natire of time & a journey through the labyrinth of one man's imagination.."
an intense read that deals with the basic emotions. at times felt like reading a few stories in one book. auster is one heck of a writer & i always want 2 read more of his stuff..
auster really delivered with this one. it's hard 2 put in2 words but this book got 2 me, in a way.
a great read, highly recommendable. a little confusing at times, can't really give it 5stars (reserved only 4 the best books) but 4stars it is. at a loss of how2 describe it better, i'm sure there r better reviews, but bottom line just read it!
