First read this book about 15 years ago and recently re-read it for book group. The descriptions of Montana and the challenges facing homesteaders are wonderful. I love the story of the immigrants from Scotland arriving in this country and making their own community. It prompted me to do a little investigating as to how my own ancestors got to this country. It's also been 15 years since I read the other books in the trilogy - English Creek and Ride with me Mariah Montana, but I remember enjoying them as well.

Rrshively I read this book some years ago, and I put it on my list of books read. I remember really liking it and feeling it was well-written at the time. You will not see it as a book I am currently reading, as I have a category in my books called "re-reads" which doesn't show up on the goodreads notices which may be a good thing. I will be re-reading it in the next week or so, as I only remember the general story and no details.
