O goodness, you guys. I had high hopes for this one ... I love historical fiction, and I'm fascinated by the time period of the French Revolution. But then this book had to go and be ruined by the addition of weird 'magic' stuff. Urgh, why?
Plus the writing is very bad. Very stilted and just bad. I would NOT advise reading this one, a total waste of time. Oh, and the villian wasn't even scary. He had all kind of potential to be uber scary, but, um, nothing happened.
The Red Necklace is not deserving of it's Lonestar award!
