bookshelves: ya

Sometimes this was kind of painful to read because the character's life was so painful and Nolan did a good job of getting her into the reader's head. Sometimes the language made the believability stretched, but only a little bit. It's kind of an eye opener to the life some people really have to live, and it's heart breaking. It would make for good discussions, particularly with teens.
