it was amazing
Read in September, 2007

This book is a captivating recounting of a really bad period in history - and a personality-driven story. King Leopold was a real greedy a*shole. Like one of the blurb's on its cover, it truly does read like a novel. Hochschild's writing and the depth of research is excellent.
