The saga of Scott Pilgrim continues as Scott faces off against the next in a long line of his paramour's evil ex-boyfriends. O'Malley keeps up the momentum, wit and imagination with this third installment, and the series remains as fresh and inventive as ever. However, with the introduction of a panoply of amazing characters (including spitfire hot-as-hell rocker ex-girlfriend Envy Adams), O'Malley encounters the problem of his supporting cast becoming more compelling and interesting than his space cadet protagonist. The book however is more than compensated by its edgy humor and inventiveness. A definite improvement from the previous volume, and highly recommended.
