Read in September, 2007

I'm glad I listened to this - the narrator had a steady, expressive voice that kept me going through the slow parts and emphasized language that I might have otherwise skimmed over. A lot of the plot came at the end, but my interest lay almost entirely in the family relationships and that of John Ames to his friend's son. The thoughts faith and grace were lovely. I would read this one again someday.

Tracy (Darcy) Have you read Housekeeping by this same author? I think you would really enjoy it!

Jess I did read Housekeeping a few years ago - I enjoyed it, but this one stuck with me more. I might try rereading Housekeeping someday and see if maybe I just wasn't in the right frame of mind.
