This is just a dull collection of papers whose extraordinary specificity and speculative nature make it unlikely that you will set this down with any new understanding of "the mind of the Romantic era in its thinking about music." Ultimately, these articles were written for tenure committees, not for the sake of pedagogy or furthering the goals suggested in the cover copy.
