I bought this book to read on my upcoming trip to Prague. What a walking cliche I am. But I also bought "The Road" so they balance each other out right?

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and review this even though I'm not finished, because I already know that my opinion of this book will not change.

Let me first start by telling you that Elizabeth Gilbert is the woman who brought into the world "Coyote Ugly." Had I know this before-hand I would have never bought this book.

And while I applaud Gilbert for trying to escape the mistake of her marriage by stuffing her face full of food, I just can't abide by the gushy-ness and rambling nature of everything she writes. I have ended up zoning out through about half of the book in the way you do when having a conversation (more like a monologue) with someone way too pleased with themselves.

I saw a video of her speaking at TED and thought she was funny and perky and kind of right on, and she sold me onto this book, but I should have known better when my bikini waxist saw it in my purse and told me she'd read it twice.

In summation: uhg.
