A fantastic third book! Once again the prose and plot have improved over the last book, with more polish and complexity. I was worried when I saw the bigger page count, but it turned out for the best - the book needed the pages to unfold its story and it reads just as quickly as the first two. Things take a turn for the strange, almost paranormal - I could see how that would put people off the book, but I love it. Especially since it doesn't really change the characters. (It's actual quite ambiguous as to whether or not it's real, or just a bit of fancy narrating.)

Dexter is quite a compelling character, and I loved seeing how he handled his increasingly complex home life. And the kids were adorable. In short, I really loved this book and I'm itching for the next one.
