I like the action and intrigue in some of Chaikin's books, but I didn't like this one. It was confusing to follow in parts, I found the constant use of French words and pronunciations annoying, and the only basis for the hero and heroine's relationship is basically lust, although they put things more delicately in this Christian book. I wasn't even entertained enough to want to finish the series.
