it was amazing
bookshelves: retelling

Any girl who loves a book with an awesome heroine, heart-thumpingly beautiful plot and a wonderful way with words should devour this up. East, also called North Child, has all the qualities that authors dream of writing but Pattou does this with style.
The P.O.V. is mixed in East. My personal favourite chapters are when Rose or the archetypical "bad guy", the Troll Queen as they both have give a brilliant insight of the character. The hero in the story isnt your everyday Edward Cullen and happens to take the form of a bear and Rose is definately not a Mary-Sue, in the end (dont worry im not giving much away) it is Rose that saves the prince rather than the other way around.
The plot twists and turns withs its characters interweaving them until they come together like a jicsaw puzzle. The plot may be a bit slow at the castle but you can see the characters developing their fondness for eachother.
I have read a lot of books (dont worry most of them i was too lazy to write a review on) some were good, others weren't, but i know one thing: Pattou has created a masterpeice that will be near the readers heart forever.
