really liked it
bookshelves: food, to-read

This is a terrifically fun cookbook. The recipes are not meant for the faint of heart or the inexperienced cook. Some are dreadfully oversimplified, kind of like your grandmother would do in explaining how to do something in the kitchen, only to find hours later that 20 other steps were left out of her initial instructions. But the book and the ideas are a treasure. A lovely compilation of traditional french meals, straight from the corner bistro or straight from your French Granny.
