Excellent juxtaposition of the flaws of both the colonial and the tribal, a bit more even-handed than I expected. A bit bothersome that the idea that twins were seen as a curse in this featured tribe in this (as in my tribe it is assuredly a blessing ;>).

Seriously this was just a great read for me, and I think it came out of Young Adult Classics at our library, although there were some topics that I think would require a pretty sophisticated reader. The pacing of the story was excellent, even though there is this sense that the world portrayed is rushing by.

The centre never holds...and life falls apart faster than we can hold the ones we love.
