Inventive and clever. I was hooked from the first page. This is the first book I've read by Jonathan Lethem. I heard him on KCRW's Bookworm in July discussing his most recent book You Don't Love Me Yet. He made a great first impression. He seems like such a thoughtful, articulate, generous writer.
