really liked it

This does what a good introduction should do -- provides a general framework, answers the important questions on the subject, and leaves the reader wanting more. I love the section on the connection between Marx and Hegel -- how Marx is using Hegel's ideas to develop his concept of the dialectical. Singer also spends enough time to establish who Marx was as a man, not just what he accomplished in terms of philosophical/historical insights.
