liked it
bookshelves: 1993-and-before, age-middlegrade

I wasn't a dancer when I was younger (much too uncoordinated for ballet lessons), but I loved the covers of these books and bought them all to read. I recall having a somewhat difficult time reading them (written in British English, so weird spelling, punctuation, and phrasing) but overall a good kids story.

Some of the alternate titles I found while looking this book up were interesting, especially the one where Drina's name had been changed to Cindy.

Lauren Drina's name was never changed to Cindy. Estoril wrote another series about a ballet family and a few stand alone ballet books, one of which had a character named Cindy.

Lauren Oh, there is also one other instance of a Cindy (I think), which may be what you're talking about. I think they may refer to her as Cindy (or something like that) in the German publications, as there is no German equivalent of Drina. But I can't remember if that was Cindy or a different name hehe
