"Alice" was abducted from the aquarium three days before her tenth birthday. Now she's fifteen and starving so she doesn't develop because Ray likes her as a little girl, even though she's almost as tall as him. This book was very disturbing, yet impossible to put down. You find yourself rooting for Alice but certain she's not going to make it because, really, how could she ever overcome 5 years of continual abuse and degradation?
