it was amazing

hilarious and in my view better than "hitchikers..." (but i might be in the minority there...)

Frankie Erm... it has Samuel Taylor Coleridge in it... can't remember any gods... there's a ghost though. And an Electric Monk...

Frankie ohhhhh, unless you're thinking of "the long dark teatime of the soul" which also has dirk gently in it... and gods...

Emily Edwards Yes...that title rings a bell...probably that one, then. Reminds me of a very silly private detective related song/monologue by Vivian Stanshall's band..."have you got a light, Mac?"..."No, but I've got a dark brown overcoat...."

Carolyn I'm with you in thinking it's better than Hitchhikers... how do you spell that?
