it was amazing
bookshelves: historical, politics, graphic

Art Spiegelman's idea of representing the Jews as mice and the Germans (or Nazi's) as cats was extraordinary - and fits with the comic genre. Yet the horror of the times he portrays is captured very effectively. His asides about his post was family, also presented in the same cartoon form, are moving and revealing.
