** spoiler alert ** This book starts with a man killing his wife because she is dying, very painfully, and he doesn't want her to suffer. A good and mostly believable storyline. Where the author lost me was with the sherrif and his complete lack of regard for his wife. I may be a prude when it comes to marriage, but I don’t find anything in the least romantic about infidelity. If your wife isn’t your “soul mate” then end that relationship first.

Caroline Kent So true! Putting a marriage first doesn't make anybody a prude!
