Wintergirls deals with teenage anorexia and two girls who make a pact to see who will be the skinniest girl in school. These girls are prepared to die for being thin (<90lbs). It's terrifying and disturbing. Although it's hard for me to relate to someone who can control what they eat to 500 calories per day (because I can't). Wintergirls really brings the mental aspects of an eating disorder to light.

The writing is very, very good and the language is so personal and intimate. This one is worth buying. I highly recommend it.

You get the same vibe reading Wintergirls as Elizabeth Scott's Living Dead Girl. It's just shocking.

Jane I just bought this on Audible! So glad you liked it. I didn't know what to expect.

SheWunders I think it'll be great on audio because the language is so natural. I hope the reader is good. :)
