I'm not really sure what this book was aiming for. It's part smut, part illustration/graphic novel, and part R.Crumb style comics. It's about a teenage girl in the 1970's who has a sexual relationship with her mom's boyfriend and random sex with other people at various points in her life. She runs around San Francisco and the Bay area doing drugs, having sex, and just drifting........the illustrations are few and far between. I think this would have been much more successful if it had been 100% comics/cartoons.I just didn't care about the character and wasn't engaged with the story. The first few pages were the best, but it just went nowhere from that point on.
