Re-imagined fairy tales with a feminist edge? Yes please!

Carter's The Company of Wolves is a long-standing favorite story of mine, and can be found in this slim volume along with her re-workings of Sleeping Beauty, Bluebeard, Puss-In-Boots, and other familiar tales. Carter can spin a phrase like no one else and has a bit of an edge of magical realism.
