it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-fiction, sci-fi

The five stars go for the Baroque Cycle (I: Quicksilver, II: The Confusion, and III:The System of the World, all of which are set in the same universe as Cryptonomicon), the extra acclaim for the thundering huge scope of the work, miraculously spun with one of the great love stories, Eliza and Jack and one of the truly unsettling enigmas of literature, Enoch Root.
