Loved this book! Great overview of the Civil War era covering from 1840s to 1865. Great contemporary art work and battle maps, terrific description of all aspects of life during that era with focus on the political and economical history as well as the war itself and the personalities involved. Would be a good reference book to own but borrowing it from the library kept me focused on finishing in a limited time.
