Abandoned. It's rare I like a first person novel narrated in present tense (it happens, it does, but it's rare - I don't know why, but that style always feels pretentious to me). But this is a first person present tense novel narrated by two different women. I just can't do it for some reason. If I cared about the characters at this point (I'm on chapter three), I'd press on. But I don't, so I won't. No judgment on the quality of the writing - just evidence that I'll try a wide variety of books and give up quickly if I'm not soon into them.

Karen I have never liked first person present tense. On the other hand, there have been several in first person past tense I liked, especially that written by Skylar Burris.
