This was an unusual book for me to read. I picked it up on amazon's recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The book closely follows two characters, one is a boy that has been kidnapped by hobgoblins and is forced to live in their world, and the other is the goblin that took his place in the human world. The book was not nearly as "spooky" or fantastical as I had anticipated but instead spoke to me about being where you are and not missing opportunities. It was about lost childhoods and no second chances. It had a gloomy feel throughout and I ended satisfied but not happy.
