Despite that insider's view of men's professional tennis, there is still this nagging feeling that although I've read a book by and about my favorite tennis player of all time, I know very little more about the man than I did before reading the book. Is that just Pete keeping things to himself as always? Did he really open up to write this book, or was it as coolly calculated as his court appearances and [most:] of his comments to the press?

I can't complain if he is still keeping things to himself. I suppose that's why I liked him as a player in the first place (besides that little thing called skill). Just something to keep in mind when you pick this book up to read... and you should if you enjoyed tennis in the 90's or Pete Sampras in general.]]>
