An interesting, and at times tedious, account of the circumstances and events surrounding the 1920 presidential election. One has to wonder if Coolidge had decided to run again in 1928 if the nation would have been spared the depression. But Hoover, being the progressive that he was could not leave well enough alone and we ended up with that slime ball FDR. Hoover-FDR, Bush-Obama,all too closely comparable.
