Reading a book about a 50-year-old woman who is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease right after turning 50 myself was probably not a good idea, but I was riveted by the story of this brilliant woman's rather rapid descent into the ravages of a truly horrible illness. It is a moving story and although it scared me to death about my own frequent tendencies toward forgetfulness, I would highly recommend it.
