it was amazing

Several years ago I picked this up, right after my grandmother died; I think timing is everything. This was my first Mitch Albom book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't usually read this kind of thing but was really glad I did.

My favorite quote from the book is "That there are no random acts. That we are all connected. That you can no more separate one life from another than you can separate a breeze from the wind.”

It really made me look at the people and lives around me, and wonder what impact my actions had on others, especially those impacts that are not immediately apparent. It also made me temper my judgement about the way other people behave: I have no idea what's going on in their lives and that allows me to step back and practice patience.
