it was amazing
bookshelves: teen

This book was just fabulous and I could not put it down. Mary is from a town that is fenced off and surrounded by zombies (called the unconsecrated). She is in love with a boy named Travis but he seems unwilling to share her love and instead, she is forced to join the Sisters in a convent in the village. But the sisters seem to know more about the unconsecrated than they are telling. When a horrible event happens, Mary, Travis and a few others are forced out of the village but will they survive?

This has plenty of action, a great teen romance (well, almost) a great setting, good strong characters including a feisty female protagonist, and would be good for teens. I am hoping there will be more because I am longing to know what happens to the characters after the novel ends!
