Well-written, but way too long. The most interesting chapters were written from the viewpoint of Almondine (one of the dogs) and Edgar.

Doris I agree what I read was well written, but I gave up after reading a whole chapter written from the perspective of the dog. I have little patience with the anthromorphing of animals.
I'm sure the rearing of a deaf child would have much of interest, but could not look forward to having to read so much dogged daring doo.
Will look forward to our next read. Doris
