It sucked me in at the beginning, reluctantly, being about a woman going to Sarajevo to restore an ancient manuscript. With some depressing parts; it's war-time Sarajevo. Then we go off in a seemingly random direction for no readily apparent reason. I assume it would become apparent if I kept reading, but I have plenty of other books asking for my time. I already whole-heartedly agree that war is bad, Nazis were bad, persecution because of one's religion or ethnicity is bad. Moving on.]]>
