I guess I should start finding out what books are about before I take them from my friends' lists and add them to my to-read list. Once again The book was completely different than what i expected. I thought I was getting a fairy-tale princess story. What I got was a born-again christian marriage manual.
Now I have probably a lot of the same principles and similar doctrinal beliefs to born-agains, but they way they talk and write is so weird to me, it seems so childish and cliche-ish and therefore seems very trite and annoying.
The characters were a little too stiff and two-dimensional to me, I didn't get very attached to them and it wasn't a very well written book or that great of a story.
I read the whole book in a few hours' time and think it quite has the feel of a dime-store romance without all the sex stuff (although there were a few scenes that caused my cheeks to redden and heat up)

Liz Challis, I'm seeing a "thread" in these selections - fantasy and fairy tales! ;o)
