Partly utopian, partly dystopian debut - "Looking Back" by E. Bellamy - for our time, the novel's first half is extremely well done, entertaining and with lots of sense of wonder; the second half loses energy and devolves into predictable thriller action with an ending that promises more to come.

I read several similar books, each with their own take on the future, the frozen billionaire (superb duology starting with Memoirs of the Future by E. Prigowecky) or genius physicist (3000 Years by R. Mgrdechian) getting in the future and finding not quite what he expected, as is the case here with Justin Cord (another frozen billionaire), and I would recommend all mentioned if you enjoy this one
