I had orginally seen the movie that was based on this book, before reading it. But the way that the author writes, and the thoughts she gives on psychology, and her disorder in general, throughout the book is amazing. Check it out, especially if you like 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest'.

message 2: by Rowan (new)

Rowan I totally agree! I read this book several years ago on my mother's recommendation after we had both seen the film. Very well written. Really sticks with you, especially the ending.

Yeah. After watching the movie, I had always wanted to know if Susanna saw Lisa again, and I am thrilled to know that she does. I even remember reading a fanfic, based on the movie canon of Girl, Interrupted, where Lisa has a child. Funny to see how it happens in the actual book.
