It's a common plot for romance novels -- boy and girl marry for financial reason and vow not to fall in love, but despite their best efforts, they do and live happily every after. Jennifer Probst's modern take on this trope is a pleasant tale of a bookstore owner trying to save her family's home and a billionaire who needs to marry to inherit his uncle's company. "The Marriage Bargain" is written well, and the story seems fresh enough to make this a very pleasant read with a predictable ending. The main characters are well developed, and the narrative flows well. It's a great book to take on vacation when you want something light and fluffy.
