A story about a young mother, suddenly widowed and the journey of her life during that first year after losing her husband. Between dealing with her own grief and anger she also learns how to handle the diverse cast of characters in her life - her mother, her aunt, her neighbor, her priest, and a contractor, to name a few – under these new circumstances. I really enjoyed the characters in the book and for the most part felt connected to the story, however a few storylines I think the book could have done without. Overall an enjoyable and quick read.
