Magic and science, warlocks and absinthe fairies, adventure and mystery, all together with a heroine that is as independent as they come. This was a fantastic book that combined all of these elements together in a way that will keep you reading well into the night. The story starts out with Elle knowing just about as much as we do and continues as she starts to learn more about herself. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Elle and Marsh. It was believable and progressed in a natural way ... Instead of some novels where the characters have completely different emotions with each page.

I have to say that I love the absinthe fairy and would love to read her own spin-off story. This is the first book in a series and I very much look forward to reading the next!
