"For the sake of one soul. For one loved one. For one life...the way I see it, there's nothing else worth fighting a war for."

A decidedly more dark and intense ride than the previous two volumes. This is really where the series began to find it's feet.

At times ironically funny, frustrating, and incredibly sad. The third book in the series, shows Harry Dresdan has evolved from the goofy, bumbling wizard/PI from the first book, into a truly heartbreaking character that you can't help but love.
